One app. Six sensors. Countless scenarios — always by your side.
Front and rear cameras record at the same time. Cabin and road — in sync, in a single file.
Gyroscope and accelerometer detect collisions in real time and automatically secure the footage.
In a severe accident: a countdown starts — and if you don't respond, DashPhone automatically calls emergency services.
Live position, speed and heading — captured precisely and updated every second.
Speed, G-force, GPS and time are burned directly into the video. Evidence-grade and transparent.
Control your music right from the app. Play, pause, next track — without taking your eyes off the road.
DashPhone uses the front and rear cameras at the same time. The main recording shows the traffic ahead, the picture-in-picture window shows the cabin. Your evidence can't be disputed — and you always keep the full picture.
Native implementation with Camera2 (Android) and AVCaptureMultiCamSession (iOS) delivers synchronized, stutter-free recordings.
A severe accident? DashPhone detects it — and automatically starts a 30-second countdown. If you're okay, simply tap "Cancel". If you don't respond, the app dials emergency services on its own and shares your location.
Help is on its way shortly after the accident. Because in a severe crash, every second counts.
Speed, G-forces, GPS coordinates and time are captured every 500 ms and burned directly into the video. For your insurer. For the police. For your safety.
FFmpeg-based post-processing renders the HUD data as a top bar — just like a professional dashcam, minus the professional price tag.
Real recordings from DashPhone. Clean controls. Every value in view.
DashPhone is coming soon for iOS and Android. Be one of the first.
Everything you need to know at a glance.
No. DashPhone works with nothing but your smartphone. For longer drives, we do recommend a stable car mount with a power supply.
Thanks to its ring-buffer logic, DashPhone automatically overwrites old recordings. Only clips around detected incidents or manually saved recordings are kept permanently. You stay in full control.
Yes. The display can stay off while you drive — recording continues. Music and navigation are not interrupted.
By default, all recordings stay locally on your device. DashPhone transfers nothing to the cloud unless you explicitly share it. GDPR-compliant and transparent — details in our privacy policy (German).
When a severe accident is detected, a 30-second countdown starts. You can cancel the call at any time. Only if you don't respond is the emergency number dialed. This feature can be fully disabled in the settings.
iOS 14 or later and Android 9 or later. For dual-camera recording on iOS we recommend an iPhone XS or newer. Older devices automatically fall back to single-camera mode.
We are currently in the final testing phase. The store release is planned for the coming weeks. Check back soon.
